The last project we had for class was to replay an image we had done before. I decided to use an image I made for my Technology Sketchbook. I made an animated gif out of a still image, which added life to it. Basing myself on the idea that we can grab music from any artist whenever we want and make it ours, but we are not able to make the sound they created ours. The sound will always remain intact. The title of this artwork is Untouchable because of this idea.

My virtual parody is on mact.com. I keep on getting spam email from match.com and it really bothers me. Another thing I do not understand is how people find love through the internet, you could create false answeres to all the questions they ask. Finding a partner is more than just answering question and being surveyed it is about having contact with another human beings.

This line of red pixels runs along the bottom on the screen. As a viewer you can take one of the pixels and move it to another point in the screen, each pixel will move around the screen at its own speed.

This page was created by Jan Robert Leegte an interactive website that creates a an image of your mouse arrow when you click one of the bars. You can accumulate as many as you want on one bar and even create shadows by selecting multiple time in one place.

Virtual Portrait

After the critique I see certain things that should be corrected in my self portrait. I changed the background, changed the color of the island and changed the message. I stopped the message from moving constantly and I also made the link to Colegio Catolico Notre Dame (High School) clearer in which I added high school pictures and more links to different parts of the school site. I also added links that I found interesting to my name, there are more surprises now.

When I was searching for different types of internet art I found the most interesting to be those which the viewer has a certain type of control over the art piece. I choose this because I am amused at how artist find new ways to make the audience engage in the art that the author has created, but at the same time the viewer has created. This type of co-authorship is fascinating to me.
